About Micheal Lander
“I longed for a Camera for many years and have been grateful for Photography to show me different ways of seeing the world and taking me to places I've never been before. I hope my pieces inspire to see the world and the silver linings in all its imperfections. Much appreciation for your appreciation…”
— MLander
Micheal Lander photographs the places he travels and the prairie he lives on, from prairie back roads to waterfalls between Banff and Jasper and a last evening walk in Rome. He prints, mats and frames the work himself.

Out in the creek with the camera
The waterfall photographs start out in the creek itself: a camera on a tripod, set up on a rock in the middle of the water, so the flow can be blurred into silk with a longer exposure.

How a print gets to you
Prints are made to order. Paper prints are printed in house, then matted and framed by hand when you choose a frame. Framed pieces are wrapped in bubble wrap and packed in a sturdy box before they leave. Micheal also has larger pieces printed locally, like the brushed aluminum print below that hangs in his own home.
